The Art of Intentional Movement — Part II
Applying IPCM to Movement. Once you can feel the contraction, the next step is learning to carry it into movement.
In Part II of The Art of Intentional Movement, MisterG takes IPCM — Intentional & Purposeful Contraction of the Muscles — from awareness into action.
Through explanation and demonstration, you’ll learn how to initiate movement with muscular intention and maintain purposeful engagement as your body changes position, direction, and range of motion. Rather than allowing momentum to simply carry the body through an exercise, IPCM asks you to remain actively connected to the movement from beginning to end. Every reach, extension, bend, lift, and return becomes deliberate. This is where a movement begins to feel distinctly gTonnicks®.
You’ll explore how intentional muscular engagement can support greater control, postural awareness, stability, and whole-body participation while helping you understand the difference between simply **performing a movement** and truly **practicing it**.
Engage with intention. Maintain the connection. Control the movement.
Part II builds directly upon the principles introduced in Part I and prepares you to bring IPCM more fully into the integrated, whole-body movements of the gTonnicks Method.
